Macro Economics

The term ‘macroeconomics’ is broad and simply deals the generation of income and employment. The macroeconomics indicators play a dynamic role in the fiscal and the monetary policy formation and reform. The indicators are being even important for local level to federal level policy formation and reforms in context of Federal Nepal.
To this end, the MaDRA has worked with the World Bank Group Nepal, Effective Development Financing Coordination Project of UNDP, a number of ministries of the GoN and with the Private Organizations including the FNCCI. The MaDRA contributed to prepare Fiscal Policy Reform Note, Recommendation for ODOP for selected nine districts, Study and suggestion for the Limitation of the Internal Loan/Debt to be Taken by Federal and Province Governments and Local Level, Study on Availability of Domestic Raw Materials and Comparative Advantage of Industrial Investment Sectors in Nepal, and among others. The GoN has published its’ reports as own publication and has implemented the suggestions outlined in the reports.
